With many WOW events on the horizon, we've been brainstorming to make sure that our 2009 events are the best ever. What did we do last year that worked? What did we do last year that didn't work? What can we do better this year? What can we add this year?
One change we've already made is the addition of the LifeBalance Program as a benefit for all Walk Club Members. Not only do our WOWzers enjoy weekly walks, club shirts
and weekly email tips, now they have access to substantial savings for recreational, cultural and wellness based businesses through their LifeBalance Membership.
We are also trying to make the Willamette Valley 30K Walk n' Relay even greener this year. Last year we implemented major changes to be as green as we could be (even qualifying as one of Runner's World Green Events) but we think we can do even better.

EVENT SPOTLIGHT: CASA's Light of Hope
CASA OF CENTRAL OREGON'S ANNUAL 5K & 1K RUN/WALK & COMMUNITY CHALLENGE RELAY! This USATF certified course begins at 8:30am at McKay Park along the Deschutes River. The course loops thru Bend's scenic northwest neighborhoods and finishes back at McKay park. Sorry, no animals or strollers allowed.

Since it’s believed that neurotransmitters mediate people’s moods and emotions, they can make you feel better and less stressed.
