Hi Walkers!

Do you know the word walk is descended from the Old English wealcan 'to roll'? Is it

any wonder, then, that walking is defined by how we use our foot: 'heel to toe'?

April is National Foot Care Month. There are 28 bones and more than 30 joints in the foot, as well as ligaments that keep these bones in place. The tip in this issue is on

Foot Health. Achy feet take away from the enjoyment of your walks or simply being on your feet. Or, as the Greek philosopher Socrates said "When our feet hurt, we hurt all over." If you are experiencing any discomfort that doesn't resolve within 3 - 5 days, contact your foot guru.

Enjoy these longer daylight hours, warmer temps, and bounty of color.
