Testimonials:
"I want to thank you and the committee of WOW for a wonderful event on Saturday ! It was so much fun and great comraderie. Our teams enjoyed working together to complete the 6 x 5Ks. We all agreed that next year is a must for us; and we plan to bring along others too!!"
-Margaret M.
"BEAUTIFUL course!! Wow, nothing better than an early morning, cool (but not cold) walk on the paths of a beautiful park, by the river...Quite nice!"
-Kim M.
"Thank you so very much for organizing a great race! I think it's the best solution you could have come up with after the Willamette Valley Relay. It was really FUN! The scenery was fantastic and it was so nice to see other racers so much of the time. It definitely accommodates all level of participants with the options available. I especially liked loop #4 with passing by the rose garden."
-Darlene Backlund
"Congrats on another wonderful event Judy. Had a great time and I really enjoyed the way it was run vs walking out on the road. Felt safer and your volenteers were very supportive and helpful. Thank you again and rest up."
-Cheryl R.
Overview of the WV 30K: Our new event for 2008 is a variation on the long distance Willamette Valley Relay: The Willamette Valley 30K Walk ‘n Relay. Come walk solo or as a team member for a great day of fun, challenge, camaraderie, & safety - all on bike paths of Eugene and Alton Baker Park. Bring your friends, family, & associates and take on the challenge.
If you enjoy long distance walking, you can do the 30 km (18.6 miles) as a solo performance. If you prefer the dynamics of team work, you may select team sizes of 2 – 6 members. As with our other events, we will offer divisions which include Walk Our Way and competitive.
We are going Green!
This year, we decide to do things a little differently and focus on making our event as "GREEN" as possible! To read about the changes we've made and check out some fabulous green resources, click here.
