WVR Overview: We passed through stunning scenery, discovered historical landmarks, and connected with local communities. Walkers encountered a challenging new race opportunity. Social walkers got together with friends and family to discover the bountiful Willamette Valley. Teams of family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and strangers, trained, rented a van, and walked the course in relay form. Rest stops and refreshments were provided along the way, thanks to the support of local churches, schools and neighbors we passed a long the way. Course contests of 'best poker hand' and voting on best decorated van, team with most enthusiasm and support provided teams with an opportunities to win awards. Not to mention the expanded list of raffle items for both participants at the finish. The Gail Gage band provided great music of the 50's and 60's and the DJ provided inspiring tunes during the day as teams crossed the finish. Stay tuned for more information and response from participants on this years events!
