It’s also a great way to support a cause, make new friends, and explore the city. Train with Us You’ll train to walk with experienced coaches. Get personalized attention. Learn to walk better, faster, and without injury. Walk training for 10k, 5k, and Half events takes place bi-monthly on Sundays at 2:00 PM. Meet at Grant Park track, located at NE 33rd Ave. and US Grant Place in Portland, OR. Train with Others Group training to walk is more effective than training alone. You’ll improve your walking technique. Learn how to pace yourself. Discover what to eat and drink on the course. Speed Is Not Important... But your ability to walk steadily is.
